At the beginning of the week I chaired a hustings for Midlothian’s parliamentary candidates here in Penicuik. Not something you get to do every day. It felt like a good event – a full(ish) house, six candidates, and a real chance to draw the election back to local issues.
Back to deadlines now, and the Church of Scotland General Assembly careering into view next month. Is it really that time of year already?
