I cut my teeth in corporate video and broadcast television while living in Dallas, Texas. It was a world away from my home in the UK, but gave me the opportunity to work with some of the city’s most versatile and industrious documentary makers.
On returning to Edinburgh I was appointed Director of Pathway Productions, the Church of Scotland’s broadcast and audio-visual production department, which I ran for 13 years.
Since entering the world of freelance writing and media production, I have built upon an extensive experience of getting the message across through vision, sound and one-to-one communication.
Tailoring your message and ambitions to your intended audience is a craft, whatever the medium. It takes imagination, graft and empathy. For me it’s a hugely satisfying task – and a road worth travelling.
